"The Kind Of Music That Will Make You Believe In Dooms Day"
The movie was by far the best action movie of the 1990's and the soundtrack did not dissappoint either. The music is basically synthizers so there is always that dangerous feeling going on in every scene of the movie even if no one is getting killed, that eerie action packed music will send chills down your spine making you feel like your part of the scene.
An obvious improvement compared to the first Terminator score! Especially when it comes to the equipment, which is up-dated to suit the 90s. The mechanical feel of the music's still there, but with much less droning. In fact the music has developed to an electrosymphonic soundscape with a bunch of interesting samples.
Furthermore the music's filled with new and more imaginative noises and pounding percussion. The theme from the first score has been properly rearranged to correspond with the new musical fashion and the opening/closing statements are great! The low growling sound and the shrieking atonal material associated with the T1000 are inventive along with the cluster shaped brass. The final segment's best!
My personal favorites are:
1.Trust Me
2.I'll Be Back
3.Our Gang goes to CyberDyne
4.SWAT Team Attacks
These were the best themes on the entire soundtrack even though all the music is good, the 4 I inlisted are just the ones I listen to at night when Im strolling downtown it gives off that "somthing evil is coming this way feeling." Or "The World is about to end." A great soundtrack all around.
