"A better way to communicate using 3D animation avatar characters!!"
Lets face it, the old way of communicating through instant messaging is boring, but what happens when you add 3D animation characters that you can control in a conversation and see their every move and outcome as you chat?

imvu.com is a new way to chat online, you create your very own character by buying credits or earning them by talking to other people. You can also buy items, clothes, new expressions, backgrounds, hair styles, face models, and much more. The only downside to this is the fact that people hardly ever talk!! People these days are boring and quiet. Its tough finding a good conversation through imvu, while most people will stay for awhile and chat others will leave without even giving you a good reason. There arent that many people that seem to really get into the imvu system as much as I do. I enjoy using the funny expressions, the whole idea of this website reminds me of The Sims series. Except your avatar can't talk, sleep, eat, or do anything you would expect from the Sims.

Allot of people that use imvu seem to have the same character design, you often run into someone with a slutty looking avatar or either a Gothic/dominatrix one. These designs are not at all great because the gothic look has been over used too much in everything as well as half naked women which we have in video games and sometimes comic books.

Im giving imvu.com a 3 out of 5 stars. I would gladly give it a 5 out of 5 if people were more social and active. When I use to have aol in 2003 people were active like crazy! You'd think that imvu would attract a million users. And yet they say their website is growing faster than myspace.com????? Doesnt seem like it to me. Myspace.com is still reigning champion as the most popular internet website and I still hate it.

Good sides:fun way to chat, hundreds and thousands of items to buy.
Badside:No to many people are active or social, no group chats (or at least I havent found one yet) - Vincent , posted 05/12/07
