I've been single for a long time and have been using dating services for quite awhile now. Basically I have probably used every dating website there is on the web (excluding ones for gays and what not) but other than that, I can give you my honest opinon about all of them. But instead I would like to review a new site I joined last year on December called "okcupid.com" The website doesn't seem to be targetted toward anyone except women/girls. The sites background is pink and baby blue...which is the first problem. Secondly almost (if not all) of the girls claim to be bisexual or Lesbian. Somtimes you can tell if they are faking it or just pretending, but thats the problem with people today. They just choose some alternitive lifestyle for the attention. Sadly thats the reason why Im giving the site a 2 star rating. The blogs are similar to the ones on www.matchdoctor.com they are sort of sloppy and don't allow you to change the font or color. Normally I label my journal entries by "chapters, Tomb numbers, or either Testaments" to make things seem more interesting for the reader. Its my own way of trying to be organized and different from the rest. Besides the blogs, you can also contact people for free and take several strange test that don't seem to make much sense. Like for instance you can take tests about "sex,political situations, and then there are test like "The Are you gay test?" And the " Are you a slut test?" and the one that really threw me off course was the one about am I cannibal or somthing odd like that. I don't remember the entire test because I clicked out of it. Likewise the site is for everyone but like I said allot of the singles claim to be bisexual which means at least 30% of them are straight and the rest are really bisexual or probably just faking it for attention. Either way Im only interested in straight women. But there doesnt seem to be any that are availble and if they aren't honestly bisexual...I don't know why would they want to pretend to be. If they were going to target bisexual types only they should let people know. But its like my social partner was telling me some days ago. " These days every girl says they are bisexual, especially the ones over populating the internet." In my honest opinon about half of them claiming to be somthing they are not are just weak lousy posers and fakes trying to find more new ways to get noticed. They are nothing more than completly worthless idiots. There are so many websites online where people have hundreds of pictures of themselves posing as somthing different every time. Like with myspace for instance people somtimes pose as "Gothic, gay, emo" or any other scene that is popular behind closed doors, leave it up to fakes to ruin it or insult those who are seriously involved with the specific scene. You have no other option but to question that person " Who are you really? And they'll most likely respond, by saying "I don't follow any group type, and etc." In other words they wont admit that they are just a damn poser and were exposed by someone that can see through unreal disguises. - Vincent , posted 01/01/07 |
